TheJournal of Synthetic Lubricationis an international, refereed journal which aims to publish high-quality papers devoted to all aspects of synthetic and biodegradable lubricants. The scope includes reporting on the synthesis and/or development of synthetic and biodegradable lubricants, their test results compared to results for the lubricants they are designed to replace, and comparative performance test results in components or equipment.
The papers must be focused on synthetic or biodegradable lubricants and not merely a synthetic additive in a non-synthetic base oil, which is not considered a synthetic lubricant and is therefore not suitable for publication in the journal.
Specifically, research papers, reviews, memoranda and letters to the Editor are welcomed on:
The development of synthetic or biodegradable lubricants and data on their performance characteristics.
The advantages or disadvantages of a synthetic or biodegradable lubricant for specific applications.
Comparative data on the performance of synthetic or biodegradable lubricants with non-synthetic lubricants for specific applications.
Correlation of laboratory test data with actual in-field use experience using synthetic or biodegradable lubricants.
