Description
Jeannot et Colin is a philosophical tale written by Voltaire in 1764 . Jeannot and Colin are friends in the city 's Issoire in Auvergne. When the time of their studies was about to finish, Johnny receives a court dress from her father, the Marquis of Jeannotière, and moved to Paris. Colin wrote a complimentary letter to his old friend and welcome, but the little marquis never replied. Arrived in Paris, his parents give Johnny a governor, who knows nothing, the young marquis. The father wants Jeannot learn the Latinand astronomy and the mother wants him to learn the geography , the history and the shield , and the geometry but the governor refused. When he grows up, Johnny is loved by women because he sings pleasantly of vaudeville .
