Philosophy of Meaning, Knowledge and Value in the Twentieth Century

This volume presents a chronological survey of some central topics in twentieth-century philosophy in the English-speaking world. A companion volume focuses on logic, the philosophy of science and related subjects, while another covers recent continental philosophy.1 By way of a broad introduction to the essays printed here I shall discuss some characteristic features of modern Anglo-American philosophy.
