Automatic Control is essentially a branch of engineering that addresses the problem of endowing systems with an autonomous capacity of interacting with the environment, while keeping constant its main variables values. It is applied to a wide variety of engineering fields, enabling an interdisciplinary approach between related fields.
This text is designed to provide insight and enhanced appreciation of analysis, modeling and control of dynamic systems. The reader is assumed to be familiar with calculus, physics and some programming skills. The perspective of the text is based on the system behavior in the time domain both, linear and non linear, and it supposes a focused presentation which develops the reader’s ability to interpret physical significance of mathematical results in system analysis. This text carefully prepares the reader for more advanced treatment for subsequent knowledge in the automatic control field.
