Portable Electronics: World Class Designs is intended for engineers who design leadingedge portable consumer electronics products — cell phones, portable media players, digital cameras, camcorders: basically anything with a battery and a CPU. The book is a snapshot of a moving target, the fast-paced world of portable design. To ensure that it remains useful to you over time, the author has focused on basic challenges, technologies and techniques — primarily system-level design, portable power and RF issues. These have proven to be the most vexing issues for readers of Portable Design magazine, and ones that aren’t about to go away any time soon.
Wherever possible he has tried to provide useful ideas as well as more detailed material that will prove useful in everyday work, including schematics, code snippets, tables, tips and tricks.
